Shine in 2009!

The downstairs wood floors are shining! We just had them professionally refinished, and they look great.

Minor Home Improvements

We completed several home improvement projects on the house over the holidays. First, we bought an old paned-glass door and totally restored it. It is now being used to make a more private toilet area in our upstairs bathroom. Next, I had bought this old cabinet made out of antique window and beadboard for $40. I repainted it, and Gary hung it in the downstairs bathroom. Finally, I had bought a ceiling medallion sometime during the summer, and after spray-painting it a golden bronze, Gary installed it in the parlor.

Exciting news: Within the next couple of weeks, we will be having the downstairs wood floors professionally refinished and the carpet replaced in the living room. I can't tell you how excited I am to have these things done.
